Syllabus:

The hazardous work environment. Occupational Health, toxicology and epidemiology, exposure standards, dusts and particulate(s), metals, gases and vapours, physical agents, radiation, ergonomics, biological hazards, information sources.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- A broad knowledge of the identification, assessment and control of a range of workplace hygiene hazards.
