Syllabus:

Adjustment and use of automatic and digital levels, contouring, earthworks, volume calculations. Adjustment and use of theologies and total stations, traverse calculations, linear measurements and horizontal curves. Setting out of engineering works. Cadastral surveying.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Understood the theory and practice of using surveying instruments as applied to civil engineering and construction projects and understood related calculations and survey techniques.
