Syllabus:

Fundamentals of geotechnical analysis. Rock fracturing. Stereographic projection. Weathered and altered rocks. Water in geological engineering. Techniques of geological engineering investigation. Applications of geological engineering.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Understood the fundamentals of geotechnical analysis, rock fracturing and behaviour of weathered and altered rocks. Understood the role of water in geological engineering. Applied techniques of geological engineering investigation. Reviewed applications of geological engineering.
