Legislation, principles of negligence, duty of care, ethics. Prioritising health and safety.Grievance handling, negotiation and confrontation, techniques for problem resolution of health and safety issues within a tripartite framework. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Define, summarise and discuss concepts, theories and approaches associated with industrial relations. Outline components of the Australian industrial relations system. Examine historical events and discuss how they have contributed to the present system. Analyse particular current events and situations. Evaluate proposals for change in structures and processes. |
