Syllabus:Objective assessment focusing on applied issues using speech science instrumentation. Data organisation and analysis using nonparametric and parametric statistics. Interpretation and reporting of results from single case and multivariate research designs.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Develop and evaluate research designs and measurement techniques assessing treatment efficacy. Undertake clinically and or theoretically relevant measurements of speech using speech scienceinstrumentation incorporating digital signal processing. Analyse, interpret and report results from single case and group research designs, using appropriate nonparametric and parametric statistics. Apply and interpret multivariate analysis techniques used in speech pathology research.
