Syllabus: | Ward and clinical pharmacy procedures. Drug distribution at the ward level. Imprest systems. Unit dose systems. Critical review of drug therapy in selected patients. Requirement to undertake 60 hours of practical training in an appropriate environment. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed the ability to interact with medical and other health care professionals. Developed a greater knowledge of the role of the pharmacist in the clinical setting through first hand experience. Demonstrated the ability to provide a model to monitor patients drug therapy in a number of clinical settings and to monitor drug therapy in patients over an extended period. |
