Syllabus:	Growth, development across the lifespan, motor, visual, communication, language, cognitive development. Assessment, diagnosis, planning, management, evaluation, consultation, resources, interdisciplinary collaboration, referral. Health appraisal theory, surveillance, monitoring. Deviations, dysfunctions, diseases. Capacity building, family structure, function/dysfunction, family centered practice, welfare. Partnership models, problem based learning strategies, diagnostic-reasoning, evidence based clinical decision-making. Policies.
Unit Outcomes:	On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Synthesise the health assessment needs of clients in the selected specialty pathway. Conceptualise deviations, dysfunctions and diseases pertinent to the selected specialty pathway. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and evidence based clinical decision-making in the delivery of care relevant to the selected specialty pathway. Analyse the resources, referral procedures and interdisciplinary collaboration relevant to the selected specialtypathway.
