Syllabus: | Organisation for and collection of data, checking of data and data reduction and discussion of problems encountered. Data analysis and interpretation and methods of data presentation. Preparation of a journal paper and oral or poster presentation of research findings. |

Unit Outcomes: | Upon completion of the unit students will have - Described in depth the appropriate methods for data management, checking data, coding data, data reduction, transformation, dealing with missing data and outliers. Analysed data using appropriate descriptive, inferential statistical methods and the appropriate software. Discussed the implications of the findings, and made recommendations for future research and prepared and presented an oral presentation on the findings of the research project. Prepared and submitted a draft and final version of a manuscript for a specified journal in the required style. |
