Syllabus:Abstract information from clinical records using ICD-10-AM for coding and diagnosis group purposes. Use of an encoder and demonstrate its use in clinical classification. The further development of communication and clinical presentation skills.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated an understanding of pharmacology and disease processes. Described the use of an encoder and demonstrated its use in clinical classification. Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills via PowerPoint presentations.
