Syllabus:Analysis of case studies to explore the principles and contemporary topics of Electronic Commerce (EC) including integration of programming, technological infrastructure, construction and installation of EC systems, classification and architecture of EC systems, EC security, EC management, outsourcing, alignment of EC with organisational plans and objectives, the role of EC in the organisational IS/IT function.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have an understanding of the relationship between the different themes (analysis, design, development, and technological infrastructure) as related to EC, an understanding of advanced and contemporary EC management topics, knowledge and ability to manage the small EC enterprise, knowledge of and the ability to work at a lower level of and interact successfully with others in a larger EC enterprise.
