Syllabus:Facilitates opportunities for students to develop an introductory understanding of both the technical application of the photographic medium and it's use and function within Design and modern society. Seeks to introduce students to a range of Design Photographic production conventions, ranging from studio based commercial photography, to digital Photographic acquisition and production systems.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, student s will have developed - technical skills and an introductory understanding of the digital Photographic medium, a range of Design Photographic theoretical and analytical skills, introductory technical skillsinvolved in the production and construction of Studio Photographic images and an introductory understanding towards the interpretation and analysis of Photographic Genres. Developed competency in Design Photographic enquiry, research and investigation.
