Syllabus: | A broad background to the nature, classification and origin of primary and secondary structural elements and fabrics in rock masses and the nature of the deformational processes. Orthographic and stereographic methods for analysing and interpreting the structural geometry of rock masses is included. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have completed all practical work and assignments to the satisfaction of the unit co-ordinator and achieved a pass mark in any theory examination based on the subject matter. |
