Syllabus:Participation in a professional preparation program designed to met the Speech Pathology Association of Australia entry level competency-based occupational standards.(Units 1 - 7).
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Develop professional skills and independence in the assessment and management of individuals with communication and swallowing impairments.

Unit Assessment Breakdown: This unit is by pass/fail assessment. Students must attend all scheduled clinical placements as well as weekly seminars. In order to pass this unit, students must achieve a pass in the following assessments - Demonstrate entry level competence in CBOS competencies (Units 1-7) with an overall pass for each clinical placement. Achieve a Pass mark for the video case study exam and seminar presentation.
