Syllabus: | Professional Issues relevant to current and future practice. Medico-legal responsibilities in clinical practice - government regulations, the rights of the client, and their friends and family. Professional education, application of innovations in clinical practice, ethical behaviour and professional writing. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - List the range of medico-legal and ethical responsibilities expected of a speech pathology professional in clinical practice in both Government and private employment. Prepare written documents that comply with ethical and legal requirements. Demonstrate and understanding of current Government policies on special populations. Select strategies to clarify professional responsibilities in cases where there is uncertainty. |
