Syllabus: | Development of skills in giving an oral presentation of the research proposal, applying for ethics approval, responding to reviewers comments on the research, and preparing for data collection. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated that they can systematically plan a research project and communicate their research clearly to both professionals and non-proffesionals, in both written and oral forms. Understood and applied the principles of research ethics to a research project. Demonstrated practical skills in organising data collection (which, depending upon the research project, may include activities such as preparing and sending consent forms, scheduling appointments and liasing with other professionals). |
