Syllabus:	An introduction to text investigation for the analysis of view point of author, purpose of the text and audience. Emphasis on speaking skills for an academic environment.
Unit Outcomes:	On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed listening and note-taking skills, summarising and summary writing, critical reading and paraphrasing.
