Syllabus:

Provides guided independent study while undertaking work experience relevant to the personal development and individual career path within the tourism industry. Non paid work within an organisation for the equivalent of one day per week whilst undertaking a study of a major activity related to tourism.

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, will have - Demonstrated an ability to operate in a real world of work environment. Demonstrated a capacity to operate successfully in a real work situation. An ability to work within the internal organisation social processes of the chosen place of work. A knowledge of external business environment content and context. An ability to relate theoretical skill and knowledge acquisition to the real world of work.
