Syllabus:Approaches to accurately survey building interiors. Fire prevention, warning and fire fighting systems. Building codes covering planning and material selection for life safety in buildings. Air-conditioning types, requirements, layouts and documentation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Basic knowledge of interior construction systems and the ability to apply it to design criteria. A familiarity with specialised interior construction products and their application. Developed research and analysis skills. Developed strategic decision making skills. Developed teamwork and presentation skills. Integrated conceptual design into a buildable situation.
