Syllabus:General overview of real property law principles, including the role of equity. Land and related concepts including estates and interests in land, adverse possession, boundaries, and native title. General law land and the Torrens system of land registration. Security interests, co-ownership, strata titles and leases.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Understanding of general property law concepts, and of the relevant statute and case law principles. Identified the nature of hypothetical property law problems and applied the relevant legal principles to solve those problems. Developed an enhanced ability to construct a legal argument and undertake legal research.
