| Syllabus: | Open to students in their final semester of study or who have completed most of their Journalism major. Provides an opportunity for students to gain intensive industry experience at the point where their journalism skills should be close to the peak of their student's abilities. Students are usually placed one day a week over the semester but in some cases can be placed two days a week over a semester period. |

| Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Been introduced to the working environment of nominated news organisations. Facilitated their employment prospects through enabling them to showcase their talents. Consolidated the skills learnt through Curtin's journalism course and applied these skills in an industry environment. Reflected on their study by the inclusion of a research essay. |
