Introduction
The course provides basic training in publishing practice. It is designed for those with a degree intending to acquire additional qualifications in order to move into a different field or increase professional knowledge and expertise.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
An approved bachelors degree or higher, or equivalent in a disciplinary area different from those undertaken in the bachelor degree program.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
Duration and Availability
This fee-paying course is of one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some areas, such as performance studies, may require substantial attendance on campus and evening classes cannot be guaranteed.
Course Organisation
This course is equivalent to advanced study in one of the several major areas of study in the School's Bachelor of Arts program. Students must consult the Course Coordinator regarding an individual program of study.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
