Pathology - classification, cause, pathogenesis and manifestations of disease, cellular response to injury, inflammation. Histotechnology - fixation, processing, microtomy and staining. Separation techniques - electrophoresis and chromatography. Clinical biochemistry - proteins, enzymes, carbohydrates and lipids. Immunology - the human immune system, antibodies, antigens and complement and antigen-antibody reactions. Molecular biology - replication and transcription of DNA, translation and protein synthesis and mutation.
