Syllabus: | This unit is designed for students who have successfully studied WACE Physics 3A/3B or equivalent, with a final scaled mark of at least 65%. Other student should take PHYS1006 Foundations of Physics. AC and DC circuit analysis. From the birth of modern physics through to the time independent solution of Schrodinger’s wave equation for the hydrogen atom. Introduction to special relativity and its consequences. Laboratory measurements and uncertainties, physical data analysis and report writing. |
