UNIT REFERENCES, TEXTS, OUTCOMES AND ASSESSMENT DETAILS: | The most up-to-date information about unit references, texts and outcomes, will be provided in the unit outline. |
Additional Tuition Pattern Information: | Tuition pattern taught in a six week block. |
Syllabus: | In this unit the student applies knowledge and technical skills in detailing and specifying integrated technological systems in interiors. Resolution of the design is driven by the creation of technological systems that are efficiently and flexibly integrated within complex commercial settings involving technical (e.g. hospital), public (e.g. art gallery) and bespoke (e.g. ocean liner/yacht) interiors. The unit also focuses on effective communication through documentation and modelling. Sustainability as a key driver of our cultural values needs to be integrated into the design practice. |
