Syllabus: | Stages of development within the life cycle with reference to biological, psychological, social, emotional and cognitive capabilities. Sociocultural perspectives on development and significant life events and application to nursing and midwifery practice. Concepts of: gene-expression, brain plasticity, stress-reactivity, emotional, attention, social regulation, cognition, adaptability, agency, context and structure with reference to the stable and unstable client. The dynamic nature of family and social relationships and their impact on individuals and families. |
