Syllabus: | This unit focuses on the principles of inclusion and their application in learning environments. Current Australian and international policies and corresponding theoretical foundations and legal imperatives are reviewed with the aim of promoting educator awareness, knowledge and skills prerequisite to the development of inclusive learning environments and communities. This unit provides practical opportunities to develop competencies in planning an inclusive curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements, consultation and collaboration with families, professionals, paraprofessionals and community members and developing individual educational programs and plans. |
