Introduction
This course develops knowledge and skills in the area of international health. It comprises a combination of units based on current knowledge and practices in international health. These units relate to the acquisition of knowledge and skills for the planning, management and delivery of appropriate health programs and services throughout the world.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A degree or equivalent and relevant work experience. Applicants without this requirement may have to undertake bridging units. Selection is based on academic background and work experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability
The course is one year full-time duration or equivalent part-time study and is also offered externally by distance education. Students undertaking units externally should note that the contact hours indicated below are only a guide for individual study.

Intermediate Awards
A student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in International Health may apply under exceptional circumstance provisions for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Head of School. For further definition refer the Statement and Awards section under General Information.

Course Organisation
The course is designed to be flexible in order to accommodate students from a variety of backgrounds and workplaces throughout the world.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
