| Syllabus: | Use a systems approach to assess, diagnose, manage, document and evaluate care related to complex health needs of patients/families. Apply therapeutic communication and meet paramedic competency standards in selected clinical contexts. Assess and manage care needs of people with psychological crisis. Neurological assessment and management of patients with neurological conditions including head trauma, stroke, and other neurological emergencies. Integrated comprehensive physical and mental health assessment. Advanced pain management. Specialised medication preparation, dosage calculation, administration and recording. Advanced manual handling including the bariatric patient. |
