Syllabus: This unit considers jurisdiction and constitutional issues relevant to family law matters, marriage and other legally recognized unions, dissolution of marriage, parenting matters, property settlements and other financial measures including child support and maintenance, domestic violence orders, injunctions and sole use orders and de facto proceedings. The role of the children's lawyer in family law matters and possible law reform options are also discussed.
