Syllabus: | Students will undertake seventy days (70) social work placement in a range of fields and sites of practice under the supervision of an approved supervisor. Integration and application of theoretical frameworks, social work skills and critically reflective practice are essential elements of the placement. Through the use of supervision students will develop competence in integrating personal values, professional values, ethics and frameworks into practice. Students will apply self-care strategies and undertake critical examination and evaluation of social work in practice. Students will be able to articulate social work skills in dynamic and diverse settings This professional placement develops students’ skills to operate as beginning social workers in self-directed practice. |
