Syllabus: | This unit explores how gender, age, cultural heritage, sexuality and (dis)ability mediate lived experiences of trauma. The unit examines the effects of trauma on individuals, including practitioners, families and communities, and critically assesses the ways in which social and political structures allow for and contribute to experiences of trauma. Students will assess and apply trauma-informed practice frameworks with a focus on recovery. |
