Prerequisite(s): 308780 (v.1) Signal and Systems 202 or any previous version
Syllabus: Linear and exponential modulation: amplitude, frequency, phase, and composite modulation schemes, and performance in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise. Passband digital transmission: amplitude shift keying (ASK), phase shift keying (PSK), frequency shift keying (FSK), M-ary signalling, coherent and non-coherent demodulation, carrier recovery and symbol clock recovery and error probabilities. Introduction to spread spectrum modulation.
