Syllabus: Inorganic chemistry: intermolecular forces, solubility, transition elements and their coordination compounds. Organic chemistry: functional groups. Alcohols: phenols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, polyhydric alcohols. Carbohydrates: carboxylic acids and derivatives. Lipids: oils, fats and waxes. Amines: amino acids and proteins. Physical chemistry: molecular and ionic equilibria, oxidation and reduction reactions.
