Syllabus: Coastal geomorphology, classification of coasts, geological factors influencing coastline development, beach profiles, dynamics of the coastal zone. Physical and environmental factors in relation to coastal sediment movement, processes and patterns in estuaries and bays, influence of coastal structures on equilibrium, coastal problems and management.
