Syllabus: This unit examines some of the global challenges of the 21st Century through 'doing' as well as 'reading' research about sustainable development. Topics covered could include, for example, the environmental, social and economic implications of an increasing global population, the increasingly inequitable distribution of wealth between and within nations, the global, national and local implications of climate change, and the challenges facing both urban, rural and regional regions in terms of sustainabledevelopment.
