Syllabus: This advanced unit will facilitate knowledge production skills of third year students. The aims of the unit are to explore ways in which International Relations and Security Studies scholars and practitioners engage in practical problem-solving through critical analysis of ideas and bodies of evidence; and examine methodological approaches to politics-oriented knowledge in the Australian and international contexts. Students are expected to undertake a major research project to learn knowledge-applicationtechniques; they will also work on career development strategies.
