Syllabus: This unit will provide the opportunity to examine, in detail, issues concerning the quality of programs for children 0-3 years of age and how they relate to the design of a developmental learning setting. Topics specifically concerning the various age groups will be examined with special emphasis on enhancing early literacy and numeracy development. Students attend a three hour workshop per week, one day practical in the Early Learning Centres each week and undertake a three week block practicum.
