Workshop: 1 x 3 Hours Weekly
Syllabus: Focuses on aspects of mathematics teaching beyond those discussed in the core education curriculum units. The integrated use of technology such as the Internet and content-free software will provide a basis for much of the work undertaken by students. Further work will consider the first two Mathematics Learning Area Statements from the Curriculum Framework for Western Australia, namely multicultural mathematics and aesthetical aspects of mathematics. The use of recreational activities such as game playing and puzzles will form a further focus for teaching and learning strategies.
