Syllabus: Principles and techniques for estimating the resources and for converting them to reserves, including sampling methods, fundamental sampling error and other sampling errors. Geological data modelling (block models, wireframes ). Spatial variability of volume/tonnage and grade. Mining losses, dilution, bulk density, cut-off grades and head grades. Estimation and resource model simulation. Reporting of resources and reserves, using the JORC code (Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee). Grade control from mine to mill.
