Prerequisite(s): 6954 (v.4) Dental Biology 135 or any previous version
Syllabus: Embryology. Development, eruption and exfoliation of teeth. Microscopic structure of the oral tissues. Saliva and salivary glands. Osteology, myology and angiology of the head and neck. Nervous system with emphasis on cranial nerves V, VII, IX and XII. Pain perception and methods of control. Local anaesthetics: pharmacology, techniques of administration, complications and contraindications.
