Syllabus: Scientific principles that underpin animal production. Physiology, reproduction (timing, control of), nutrition (use of macromolecules, rations), genetics (response to selection, correlated response to selection, EBVs), health (major diseases, parasite lifecycles), products (fibre, meat, milk). Design and analysis of an animal science experiment.
