Syllabus: Laboratory and clinical practice in dental therapy procedures. Patient assessment, treatment planning, prevention and treatment methods for caries and periodontal disease. Record keeping and appointment scheduling. Restorative dentistry: classical and modified cavity preparations and insertion. Local analgesia. Dental radiography: intraoral and lateral oblique radiographs. Exodontia. This unit has additional practical hours conducted outside of normal semester hours.
