Syllabus: Clinic preparation, infection control, appointments, patient assessment, records. Instruments. Moisture control. Alginate impressions, study casts. Clinical aspects of caries. Restorative dentistry: requirements, direct materials, cavity preparation and restoration introduction. Plaque control and removal. Fluoride applications, sealants. Periodontology: periodontium, periodontal disease (aetiology, tissue changes). Occupational health issues.
