Syllabus:	This unit analyses experiences and meanings of Australian working class society and culture during the twentieth century. We examine theories of labour process and work organisation, the development and characteristics of the Australian working class, and make comparisons with other working class cultures such as Britain, Canada, the US and New Zealand. We also discuss the intersections of class with other aspects of working class identity, including gender and race.
