Syllabus:

Introduction to the practical aspects of field geology including air photo interpretation, map reading, use of global positioning systems, navigation in remote areas and identification of basic rock types in the field. Consists of a week-long field excursion to the Kalgoorlie region to be held in the week prior to the mid-semester break.
