Syllabus:

Earth resources. The principal ore minerals and their identification. The nature, mineralogy and morphology of the major types of mineral deposits. Metals, fuels and industrial minerals. Mineral exploration including geochemical and geophysical exploration. Introduction to mining geology. Ore minerals and types of ore deposits - coal, petroleum and natural gas.
