Assessment of needs in relation to income maintenance and housing. Advocacy roles in welfare practice. Policies, practices and procedures of agencies providing income maintenance programs. Review procedures - appeals tribunals, Ombudsman. Homelessness, poverty and the law, with special reference to Aboriginal people. Supervised practical experience in appropriate agencies.
