Introduction to management in the food industry - company structure and operation. Making a profit, the role of accounting and finance departments. Interaction with marketing personnel - retail and export markets, packaging design for specific markets. Industrial relations - trade unions, their origins, roles and functions. Ethics and professionalism, team work, communication skills.
