Syllabus: Survey of database systems used in Australian schools and universities. Study of the MAZE integrated package for school management. Use of microcomputer-based interactive database development and management tools. Client/server systems. Procedures for transferring data files among systems. Linking database files to spreadsheets and graphics packages. Staff training needs.
