MISU-DATSC v.1 Data Science Minor
Minor Overview
Minors prepare students to develop broad knowledge about an additional discipline area that complements their study in an award course.
Data is used in all industries to drive innovation and growth. Data Scientists are able to harness the power of data to be central in these processes across a range of industries. The Data Science Minor builds on students’ previous experience in statistics and programming to enable them to extract and analyse data to solve practical problems. Students learn how to mine large datasets and can choose to focus on computer simulation or data security. Entry Note: Students enrolled in the Data Science Major (MJRU-DATSC) and Computing Major {MJRU-COMPT) are excluded from this Minor.
